I use Strava to earn beers. Stravabeers.

Each PR or personal top 3 is worth 1 beer

Each top 10 overall is worth 5 beers

A KOM is worth 10.

then i should be K.O.STRAVA :whistling: :whistling: :whistling: :whistling: if we work it backwards

Dips! You're 100 beers ahead and 50 KOMS behind!

Had a good ride today. Everything and all conditions in my favour Do a reservoir climb in my area allot and today I saw they had scrapped the dirt road so well it could just have been a tar road. Normally loose gravel and rocks to deal with. Well as you can guess I got a couple of KOM.Am I a Stava opportunist or just in the right place at the right time. Well I guess someone can rock up tomorrow and do the same.

Once you Strava you throw all morals out the window. The people who you "stole" the KOM from would do the exact same thing.

Ag man, you must see in the Cradle how the guys come out if the wind is blowing hard in a certain direction......

They say it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a StravaHole to get not get a klap as he rants about his latest KOM at the pub.

I use the same approach, but I assess the top 10 overall you mention by filtering for results on that day only.

I'm buying them. But It works on a reward system so I can drink beer "guilt free"

It's also a measure of alcoholism. If the day comes where I set a segment around my pool and lap the pool 50 times I'll know I have a problem.

A while ago I got a runner up to the KOM on a jumpy, rooty rutted downhill segment on the Spruit below Delta Park (it was a weekday late morning so don't give me grief :D). The lower part of that segment was the rutted part and often got repaired in winter which is probably when the fastest was set... Haha. Anyway, just after my run they kinda dry concreted that lower section to make it safer for walkers and then put in some "gates" to make it difficult for MTBers to ride through there. So I guess the Strava times are now set in stone...
