Thought I would leave this here. I find the reviewer and I have very similar tastes and if you have watched a lot of these you can't go wrong. Also, his reviews themselves are very good.

Yes, I'm a big fan of Donnie Yen, so I've seen all three Ip Man movies. Loved the first one, can't really remember what happened in the second one and thought the third one was so-so.

You should also check out The Grandmaster, if you haven't seen it yet. Quite beautifully shot and won a ton of awards. Stars Tony Leung as Ip Man.

I didn't know there were sequels but I looked em up and here's a scene showing a young Bruce Lee approaching Ip Man for training. The comments are gold!

and yes I've seen The Grandmaster.

One of a handful of newer kung fu movies I loved watching.

Are you a fan of the oldies? The Wu Tang collection channel is still quite active.

Full movies are published almost daily. Most of the titles are pretty bad but there are some proper classics in there too. I only ask because you reminded me of one of my old favourites.

7 Grandmasters. Its from the 70s. The golden age of Kung Fu flicks.

Of course! I think like most boys my age I was totally Bruce Lee obsessed, and watched as many kung fu movies as I could find. Got caught out a few times by those movies made by Bruce Lee impersonators, too - you know: Bruce Li, Bruce Lei, etc. As you said, some of them were pretty bad but that didn't stop me

Then, as we all did, discovered Jacky Chan and watched everything he was in. Stopped watching them for a while in varsity and afterwards, as I was too busy going out and trying to find friendly girls to get drunk with  :P

Started watching watching a lot of movies again eventually a few years ago, when my brother and I got decent internet and a good home entertainment system. Then I got hooked on Jet Li, Donnie Yen, Stephen Chow...

A good one I watched recently is Once Upon a Time in Shangai. In fact, it was so good I immediately went to IMDB to find out what else Philip Ng and Andy On had been in!

These days I don't watch so many of the oldies anymore, except if it's a classic like Enter the Dragon or Snake in Eagle's Shadow or something like that. I prefer looking for new ones by going through  the list of Hong Kong Film Award winners, for instance, and seeing if there's something that grabs my attention.

I have all three of the sound tracks on LP, originals to. Love blasting them through the house on a Saturday morning!

Slightly concerned... Those soundtracks when Clint wanders across a barren plain are very similar to other movies where bowwowchickachicka accompanies other roving wanderers who accidentally come upon a lady in need. And early on a Saturday morning this could result in very mixed messages?

Another must see if you like the old Kung Fu movies.

Found this one - looks like it could be pretty good. Going to try and watch it tonight or over the weekend.

"When Zin, former girlfriend of a Thai mob boss, falls for Masashi, a Japanese gangster in Thailand, the boss banishes them: Masashi to Japan, and Zin, with her small daughter Zen, to live next to a martial arts school. Zen is autistic, with uncanny swift reflexes. She watches the students next door and Muay Thai movies, absorbing every technique. She's now a teen, and her mother needs chemotherapy. Zin has taken in a chubby kid, Moom, who watches over Zen. Moom finds a ledger listing business men who owe Zin money; he goes to them one at a time to collect in order to pay for Zin's treatment. Zen, with her martial skills, becomes his enforcer. A showdown with the boss is inevitable."

Should be decent since it says its "From the makers of Ong Bak" - that's another real must see classic.

Watched that last night!  :D

Going through a bit of a kung fu phase again, kicked off by catching the last part of Enter the Dragon on TV a couple of days ago (from that part where he beats the crap out of Jackie Chan, who was still just an unknown stuntman then). That made me want to watch The Protector again, which I've got stored in my library. Must say, Ong Bak is not bad but The Protector is definitely my favourite Tony Jaa movie.

I've got Chocolate lined up for tonight and then I might watch Kung Fu Hustle again over the weekend.

I also watched Man From Nowhere last night. Awesome action movie, made in South Korea, won a load of awards, definite must-watch for hardcore action fans. Good actors, got a decent story as well.
