if you have Panic Room, Fight Club and Seven on your cv then you doing something right. Didn't care much for Benjamin button or the social network

You forgetting Zodiac and the Girl with some sort of Tattoo. :) and The Game, which I thought was great, even if it was a bit OTT. I haven't seen social network, mainly cos I have an inbuilt, irrational hatred of Zuckerberg thanks to never having bothered to learn how to Unfriend people. But I have heard it is actually very good. Edited by Thor Buttox

Gone Girl... I forget how many times I shouted out loud at the twists from pure and utter shock. Was a real rollercoaster, and bloody well acted!

Edge of Tomorrow - loved it. Loved, loved loved.

It was indeed a brilliant movie. Had my wife and me glued down in front of the tv, and for my wife not to fall asleep during the movie says a lot.

Still can't get that scene out of my head where she slit open Niel Patrick Harris's throat and the stuff she did before that....

yikes...go see lebowski right now!

You are in for a treat with A Serious Man. Michael Stuhlbarg is phenomenal in this movie. He plays a man caught between his respect for his faith and his frustrations with the absurd judgements he is on the receiving end of.

There are shades of Larry David's comedic genius throughout this movie, although he isn't credited.

I will have to give it a go.....

Nightcrawler - Oh. My. Sack. Easily the best movie I've seen in a long time. Character portrayal is utterly brilliant, and Jake Gyllenhall nails it.

Glad to hear.. Watching it tonight.... And he is fast becoming a favorite actor.

I love a movie that doesn't cheat on it's premise or on it's own internal rules, that goes dark and stays dark and still surprises you.

Ja, I sat for a while after watching it, and wondered what the future would be like after the decisions made.

Haven't see that much blood on a woman in the thralls of, um, well...and live (well, for a while) since Lisa Bonet is (the uncut) Angel Heart.

it's all a matter of if that is your type of humor or not....thankfully we all don't like the some things else the world will be a boring place!

I'm with Robrider, Fargo was brilliant, Big Lebowski mmm, maybe it just  went over my head..

Who would have thought her starring in Angel Heart wouldn't be the biggest scandal of the Cosby show...

yet another superb video from every frame a painting. I have mentioned it before but this guy is a young director and imparts his knowledge to us through his youtube channel...makes you realise what good directors are doing and how we are sub consciously appreciating it, even if we are not aware of the directing techniques

Drive and the use of Quadrants

I LOVED this soundtrack. Another very under-rated movie, and IMO Ryan Gosling is a brilliant actor...

I would not say it is under-rated due to its almost 8 rating on imdb...do agree its an excellent movie

I watched Lucy last night. Quite a cool story but could have ended better.

Watched 300 yesterday. Only me, or was that scene with mom and son at the end a rip-off of Gladiator?

Yip..we noticed it immediately. . But there are a couple movies that have used that
