Ja, super creepy, but really good!

Spoiler alert!!  - That look on Jake G's face when he is filming the accident of Bill P... Yoh... My wife works in psych and according to her he has the sociopath looks down pat.

Sounds like me and Boyhood. Haven't been that bored in a long long time. I'll remember to give Noah a miss.

Whaaaat...boyhood was effin brilliant

Maybe it's because it was too much like real life for me, but just didn't grab me at all. I can recommend The Theory of Everything, amazing movie and such a good performance by the star.

so.....Finally got round to watching Gone Girl on Sunday

All in all a Very good movie as one would expect with a Fincher movie and Ben Affleck involved

Does it deserve to be in the imdb Top 250? I dont think so...Likely over time it will slowly make its way out of there

Did it deserve an oscar? relative to what won this year...yes...relative to everything else that didnt even get a nod...no (just proves what a heap of poo the oscars have become - and that they dont like long films and animations)

Now i wish I had read the book (got to the twist - which was pretty obvious so not really a twist) and decided to just watch the movie. I am interested to see if the books ending is as rushed as the movies ending. I found myself checking the clock to see how much time was left on the movie because there was SOOOOO much still that had to happen

Spolier alert - Spoiler alert - spoiler alert

1. Why introduce the redneck "couple" into the movie if they not going to use them later to prove her story is a lie

2. Why did the detective not investigate further..."how did you get a box cutter"...you dont ask that and then everyone just ignores it

3. I would have spent every waking moment trying to trace her steps and prove her insane instead of just living with her for the next 18 years

so...very disappointing ending...but still good....sort out that ending and it would have been great

Watched this with my gf on Saturday.. very very good.

It was excellent...the book was even better.

If you haven't seen it, go check out Lone Survivor as well. Also a true story about Navy SEALS. There are two excellent books about that mission as well, Lone Survivor by Marcus Luttrell, which the movie is based on, and SEAL Of Honor by Gary Williams which focuses more on the officer, Michael Murphy.

Which old movies do you like watching again from time to time?

I have a few favorites. Even ones where you know the major plot twist but watch it again anyways?

the one movie i never tire of watching is good will hunting...I might even say its my favourite movie

also.... I can easily watch some comedy like top secret or life of brian over and over again

and then anything else - if you in the mood - no problem
