Why is the Ride not as popular as the Adventure and Race? What's the difference?

It's the newest so the other are more established + it's in the middle of the week so you have to take 3 days leave.

Other than that absolutely no difference, if I slept late and still wanted to experience the w2w I wouldn't think twice before entering the ride.

yes - the taking leave for an MTB race - especially just before silly season at work, is a bit of a problem. We got sponsored for the ride though, so if you weigh it up - its worth it!

Nice! I am all for unplanned sharing......

He might be referring to the 2 guys that shared a tent at the race last year because they thought it works like sani2c... That was their version of the story anyway :whistling:

I live on the doorstep of this race and have done most of the trail (apart from the portage on day 1), so never really attempted to enter for it. Decided to put my name on the waiting list for the Adventure. Got the call-up 2 weeks ago. Fortunately my W2W partner is still up for the Adventure. It is her first "big" stage race and I have a few under the belt. She is very enthusiastic and trains like a woman possessed, so I had to get my shiz together quickly and have now also started training in earnest. I must say that nothing motivates like putting down a couple of ZAR's for a race.

Sure you & partner will enjoy it, was very impressed last year & in my biased opinion definitely on par with Sani2C and in some aspects even better.

In for my 3rd. I can do without the rain and mud on Day1 this year. Strangely day 2 is always my worst ito results. New partner though.
