I was on my way to Cycle Lab a friend send me a message to tell me about the line of people. I asked him if he could get me some goodie bags, numbers etc because I am collecting for 10 riders from the East Rand. I send him all the numbers etc. When I got there he just came from the registration table. We are missing one goodie bag and I order a XL Shirt and I received a (3XL). We have 10 Numbers, the 6 Racetec chips is 100%, the other shirt is 100%.

Someone can collect - just make sure they don't run away with your goodie bag :)

Well you said it, :-(, was called to say they got handed one short and were not going to turn back to fetch it.

At least my Anatomic stuff was there.

Some huge bottle necks already for this race - and this is only to collect the number...

Luckily my office is just around the block, would go back tomorrow and maybe do some shopping @ CL on Saturday if I don't manage tomorrow

Any idea how they worked out the Seedings for the race ?

If you don't carry seeding you go to the back. I suspect this is how they did it... Makes sense if I look at how my riding buddies and I are batched (also numbers within batch).

Others I've seen done "first come first serve" so the earlier you enter the higher your starting batch (this is a really k@k idea though).

I thought that the latest post by the event on their FB page is a fantastic idea:

We told you we loved our Partners. Well, here's one of the reasons. ‪#‎HollardJUMA‬ cyclists will be cleating up with glee come Sunday because Cyclesure is sponsoring free accidental damage cover (bicycles and accessories) up to R10 000 to everyone riding the JUMA, for the duration of the event!

In order to qualify for this cover participants must register here: http://cyclesure.co.za/contact-us/sponsorships/registration-hollard-jozi-urban-mtb-adventure/.
On receipt of the form Cyclesure will confirm cover via email.

Ts & Cs: Any incident must be reported to a Cyclesure representative immediately after the event. No claim will be acknowledged if not reported at the event. An excess of R1 000.00 is payable on each and every claim. Cyclesure is sponsoring the Bike Pound at the event and will be on hand to answer any questions.

Nice one guys

Hi Andy, the person that collected our numbers was not aware that they needed to collect the racetec at a different table, can we still get it on the day?

Edit: Reworded the question

Put in leave for tomorrow afternoon to go and do registration. .

I've taken the whole day off for this, think I'm going to be there bright and early...

Hi Andy, this is a mess, the organizers did not supply the Racetec chip with the number, can we still get it on the day?

The racetec desk was right next to the collection desk on the left of the collection desk???  All you had to do was pick up your race pack then go to racetec ... I fail to see how it is a mess by the organisers!!

Agreed, my collection person also does not understand the concept (he ordered Racetec chips for 3 different upcoming races)
