Yoh. That was hard

4h31 from f. I wheelsucked team savage like a pro. They were absolutely mental today. E and f caught c and d 40km in.

Pace up botmas was sedate to say the least yet the group still split.

We caught back of a and b with 10km to go

We dropped a and b up the last little climb by knorhoek

I'm pretty sure e/f must have fastest time for the day

Yeh must say there wasn't much wind except between stellies and Malmesbury

so much so that it was at least 20mins faster than last years winning time. But I must say the bunch took it very easy, let break-aways stay away for miles on end, did the climbs gently that even I managed to survive which is unheard of.

Really enjoyed the race in C-D group. Pace was very avg except up Bothmaskop. Group worked well together though in my opinion.

Just want to share a little rant: In the last 5km (just before turning left onto Hellies rd) Linus van Onselin came from the front (he did not participate in the race), spotted a tandem infront in our group with Flandria kit on, turned around and came joining and chatting to them in the front. I have no issue with this. After his chat he drifts backwards basically interfering with the guys in the front. I did not mind this either at this stage but then he does this again once or twice and I kindly asked him "Linus would you mind kindly getting out of the bunch, you are in the way". He then responds by starting to swear at me. He had no business being there in the 1st place. I was so surprised in his behavior that I did not even respond. Whenever I have heard anyone saying something bad about him I always said that he seems like a real gentleman. I now see that they were totally correct in their opinion. I will never set foot in his shop again!!

If you feel it is stupid sharing this rant I will kindly take it down!!
