About the GC:

Smoke and mirrors from BMC?

I clearly saw Evans contest for some bonus secs.

Exciting uphill finish.

"...we all used up a lot of energy. The heat was terrible, 40 degrees at some points... But I came through it well, even if I had to make a big effort compared to other riders who have got more race form. I went for it a little too early on the climb, and I maybe lacked a little bit of punch at the end...The objective was to lose as little time as possible, and that’s what I managed to do. There are a lot of riders going better than me right now.”

So Berto is still up there pushing hard and been competitive even against apparent Doctors orders!

Not sure what to think about that, one bad fall and he could potentially be ruined career wise, but hell, I gotta like the great attitude.

Missed the first two stages but today was quite exciting, that little climb to the finish was a killer, but I think the heat is going to take its toll over the next few days and could change the race completely, especially if some of the top guys find it hard to cope with.
