L_D Posted August 18, 2014 Share If the driver did pass on the left then he is in for some serious Q&A. White Toyota bakkie, registration looks like CNJ 613GP http://pbrd.co/XtZjT2

'Dale Posted August 18, 2014 Share The cyclist name was Shown Breytenbach. Was one of our club's members (TCS). The driver in the bakkie apparently passed vehicles in the yellow lane and that is when he hit Shown.RIP Shown Oh sad, manRide In Peace, man

Squier Posted August 18, 2014 Share Terrible news. We went over Hans Strydmag just after 10. Saw the police vehicles and police tape but couldn't see what happened. Shocked to read this. Â Condolences to all. Rip.
DieVlieg Posted August 18, 2014 Share I did not know Shown but I feel that this could have been myself and that his family could have been mine as I Cycle Solomon Mahlango regularly. I know almost every Cyclist in Pretoria has to use that road at some time. It must be so hard to deal with such a tragedy for everyone that known him... Happened on the downhill just before the turnoff to Wapadrand. No excuse to overtake there. None.
