He was at the race smiling and carrying on like nothing had ever happened. He did serve his ban but still.....

I don't think I could show my face again if i was in the same situation. I guess some are born with thicker skin.

It leaves a bit of a sour taste in one's mouth seeing him on the podium.

I wish all event organisers serious about cleaning up our sport would ban convicted dopers from participating in their events the same way the Epic does.

I see smaller events are also now following the Epic's stance on convicted dopers.

What baffles my brains is that he is still able to get sponsors

So far Farmer Glen has committed to this for Sani2C, Joburg2C, Berge n Bush saw the tweets and jumped on board too, they all followed Lesotho Sky who pushed this.

SwartBerg100 actually invited KE to come do their race on Twitter, when the obvious was pointed out, they retracted and stated that they too are taking a stance on convicted dopers.

Sure...it will be lekker but see it this way:

The big name events are the ones where sponsors want their names in lights...now if your pro can only participate in the smaller ones, do you still want to sponsor him. As a potential sponsor it will be a pretty bad investment choice if the guy I am paying can only participate in the small races...The ROI just isn't there. Without a contract a pro becomes an amateur and thus eliminate his need to dope.

chapeau all those race organizers

I also agree that an aggressive stance should be taken against doping but there seems to be some double standards here guys.... what about Nolan Hoffman winning all the classics after his doping ban? nobody seems to care about that or is it just a matter of people having a short memory span?
