Too slow to be a sprinter - too fat to be a climber - not enough power to be a rolleur. Kinda like the bmw x5 of the cycling world ;-)

He'll be a bloody expensicve water fetcher in my opinion.

Plus I don't think there is a bike rider that causes more crashes.

True that.

Seriously, in Robbie's last season with Garmin he almost had to sprint solo, even after being the leadout man because Farrar either couldnt hold the position, touched his brakes through corners and plain and simple just not that good.

I am going.  How fast do you reckon the social ride will be?  I see talk of leaving at 7h30 and being back at Spier at 9h30.  Surely they wont do a 30km/hr ride as a social ride?

I saw that too. I'm not going if its gonna be that pace. I would love to ride with the guys and chat to them, but I would probably do that route at 28kph if I pushed as hard as I can (only been cycling 6 months). So, would be a waste of R100 to get dropped immediately on a "social ride".

I hope they maybe split into a couple of groups. But having seen the schedule on various platforms I think its gonna be a fast ride. Social ride for serious guys.

I also tweeted them to ask twice, but haven't gonna a response.

I'm told there should be 3 groups allowing for returns between 09H30 and 11H00

You sure about that? In that case I may reconsider going! Could be a nice warm up for Die Burger.

It is what was communicated to me and will be finalised when they see the number of attendees.

But will we have superstars in the slow group?

Now that is a good question...
