The front of the ride will be as fast if not faster than it ever is. (Guys not holding anything back for the back half of the ride!) At full tilt the climb back up Wynberg hill and the short efforts back up past the Kirstenbosch turnoff in Newlands and finally Hospital Bend will be a test of stamina for sure!

Sub-one coming up! That neutral kar had better be a Basil van der Merwe Perana V8. Time to take off the bottle cage and the first sign of weakness to save weight! Watch out for vomit on the way back past hospital bend.

REALLY, This has now become a fun ride. Put on your STRAVA and go and race 47km at home, you will just endanger the other riders. YES we are all upset, but thats the reality of being a fun ride. Just rock up and enjoy the ride and MAYBE YOU WILL MAKE SOME PROPPER FRIENDS AS YOU MEET AND TALK TO OTHER CYCLISTS.Two things have changed, Smurfy: The course The new theme that acknowledges the circumstances It is still a race Be sure to warm up Hehehehe

The problem that I have is that the dudes starting after 7 all want to race and by then its chaos on the road. Swerving and cutting in and out will cause lots of crashes. I think that the medics will have a very busy day. The guys that I was referring to were all seeded in 4 something. Hope you all achieve your sub 1 .

The Return will be nice and open again
