Just want to know how the winner is actually identified. Time or over line first.

Dont know Rui personally.

For future reference. Have to be in the first racing bunch to win the Argus, not just fastest time. Look at the ladies, winners were 4min slower than fastest lady.

I was in 6B, when we got back to Buitengracht we got stopped at the traffic light because cars were using the route. WTF

In 1F, but behind the group, happened to me too, for about a minute

Eish. What was that all about?

the route totally locked the whole of Cape Town in, so that was the only place where they could allow motorists through. 3 days was a bit short notice to complete the Fly-overs thats been standing half built for 60 odd years.

That was 1 of the concessions the organizers had to allow in order to get permission to run the route as it was. Without that, there would have been NO ARGUS this year. The short route as it ran on Sunday caused much more serious traffic disruption than the normal route. (Perhaps the PPA should make a token donation towards the completion of the fly-overs and challenge others to do the same  .)

Yes, I am sure lots of motorists were not happy about our race.  But they should know, on the second Sunday in March you stay out of the city, unless you want to support riders or absolutely have to be there.  :)

Yes, when I walk in on a party the music stops.

I think you misunderstand the intent of my post.

Cool, but perhaps use smilies to convey intent?
