Me too, but thats def not happening.

It could be, because there has been lots of news about the good hope center and its high maintenance costs and how other venues such as CTICC and grandwest which have drawn alot of events away from the good hope center. We wait and see

Trouble, I think, is that the Good Hope Centre belongs to the City Of Cape Town. The Cycle Tour Trust will want to stay on the good side of the City, after all, their support is essential for the continued existence of the Argus. That's why they use the Good Hope Centre while the Cape Town International Convention Centre is left out in the cold. Perhaps the Convention Centre is simply too expensive and they get the Good Hope Centre for a song? I do wish they would move the Expo venue there though.

I had this discussion last year after complaining about the horrendous facilities and lack of parking at the Good Hope Centre. They have some sort of agreement and contract with the Good Hope Centre. Cant exactly remember all the details. Still hate the Good hope centre.

Its getting ridiculous now. R700 odd for international riders, wtf? I am going to enter and race, but really.

35 quid? I say charge them more.

The big surprise is that is going to finish at the top of Kloof Nek now and then you can cruise down the Glen to the beer tent :P

Oh yeah....

I kimda like the Good Hope Center ...lots of places to park ....any place where the entrance and exit is limited like @ the CTICC ...is not gonna work for me .

Yeah - it's a quick in and out from the N2 if you park on side streets. Got kinda fond of that trip to collect my ticket and peruse the stalls.

Flights, accomodation, bike transport, mad entry fee, restuarant food, all make for a very expensive little jaunt around the mountain. Really thinking of giving it a miss - but i know i will regret it if i do.

Whoa!!!!! R400.00 for an entry. Crazy........

Think this years entry was in the region of R320.00 if I recall correctly.

BUT I'M STILL GONNA ENTER!!!!

I crashed out after 19km this year - wonder if they will give me R300 refund on the rest of the route I did not use :-)
