It could be, because there has been lots of news about the good hope center and its high maintenance costs and how other venues such as CTICC and grandwest which have drawn alot of events away from the good hope center. The Cycle Tour Trust will want to stay on the good side of the City, after all, their support is essential for the continued existence of the Argus. That's why they use the Good Hope Centre while the Cape Town International Convention Centre is left out in the cold. Perhaps the Convention Centre is simply too expensive and they get the Good Hope Centre for a song? I do wish they would move the Expo venue there though. We wait and seeI had this discussion last year after complaining about the horrendous facilities and lack of parking at the Good Hope Centre. They have some sort of agreement and contract with the Good Hope Centre. Cant exactly remember all the details. Still hate the Good hope centre.
