Hi guys i wold like to know what your thoughts are on the following?

I have the opportunity to fit a much beter fork to my bike but its not going to be taperd shock,i do have the adaptors and everything to get it to fit my headset, but i am a little woried about how much control I am going to lose? :(

Its going to be a Thru-axle shock and my old one was Qr(is the control issue just goona even out?)

(Old Fork=Taper + QR)

(New Fork=Strait + Thru-axle)

Ideas,recommendation and thoughts are appreciated!!

Naaah, you won't loose much stiffness, and the through axle will probably make up for it.

There is or flex in the fork legs than at the crown.

However , please ensure that your hub can be converted to a through-axle, as you cannot simply put a qr wheel in a TA fork. That might cost you some more money.

Do it if the fork is a good upgrade, you won't notice any difference.

I run a reba race in my DS bike which is a straight steerer in a tapered headset, no issue at all.

As others say, going TA will add stiffness over your current QR setup.
