It is a constant batell with us cyclist nd the japies in there cars. Thy treat us like we got no right 2 use the roads. Nd I hope thy find the scum that knock her over.

CleatsnCleavage Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 It is my DC team, however I was not riding with them this morning. Just spoke to our team captain who is very shaken of course. Luckily Alriza was taken to hospital within an hour of the accident and it sounds like she had good medics on the scene that assisted until the chopper arrived. Missing teeth and a broken jaw. That intersection into Llandudno is really dangerous. We all need to make sure we ride with ID bracelets with medical details and emergency contact numbers on.
Cam182 Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 We got there minutes after the accident and was shocking to see and hear what had happened. I hope the prick driving gets caught and is prosecuted to the max, not just for causing the accident but for leaving the scene and not taking responsibility. One positive from the whole thing - it was great to see everyone coming together to offer help, from other motorists and cyclists to the local community/village security guards. Before the first police, ambulance and fire guys arrived the rider was being looked after and traffic was stopped and being redirected away from her. Great to see everyone pitching in. Hoping the rider recovers asap
lechatnoir Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 I live in HB and the update on the local FB forum is they found the car with blood on it and have arrested the driver. I pray for a full recovery for her.

Negligence is not an accident.......and a slap on the wrist is not enough.

Spinnekop Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 This makes my blood boil. Getting seriously gatvol of this beautiful country. I had about......25 drivers? on their phones on Friday's commute home in 10km..... What people don't realise....and I think it got lost with our DADS not teaching us to drive and instead we have these driving school things that just wants your $$$.....Dad tought me that driving is a JOB! A very important job....so by so that you can loose your life if you don't do it right EVERY TIME. No slacking. No sleeping. No talking on the phone. Wake up.People are just sheep going from point A to B trying to see what else they can do "on the job". Very glad Alriza is doing well and I pray for a speedy recovery and a special place in hell be prepared for the driver.
