Does anyone know if DX (Deal extreme) tracking number will work on the SA postoffice tracking website? (looks like the PO web page is also on a go slow)

try your tracking number on one of these, you can put in your overseas tracking number and the first 1 will give you the local tracking number as well... any one of these will show you where the parcel is

You can save yourself the hassle of phoning to find out the local tracking number by using the first link

Took a chance on an order from CRC and it's in the country.

Good news is that it has gone through Joburg EMS centre, down to Cape Town.

Bad news is it was meant to be delivered to me in KZN

I ordered some bits from overseas. Parcel was posted and I got an international tracking number (Order was actually split and the second shipment left a day or two after the first one. The first one must have sneaked through just before the strike. The second one hasn't arrived. I contacted Customs in Durban and gave them my international tracking number. Parcel is confirmed to have arrived in the country. Currently sitting in a container in JHB waiting to be processed.

"They need to work through the backlog Sir so I can't tell you when it will arrive. If the container hasn't been opened it should be OK..."

Just collected my parcels this afternoon. One from the US and one from Durban. Both took just under 3 months, the one from the US arrived at the PO on the 31/10 and the one from Durban arrived at the PO this morning. Absolutely shocking!!

So I have still been waiting for 1 parcel to arrive and decided to phone JIMC and see if they had anything on file as I did not have a tracking number with it.  I have done this before quoting my name and address and then they have given me the local tracking number even though the overseas supplier did not send it tracked..... so thought would try anyway.

To my pleasure and surprise they have it on the system, I now have a tracking number and it left JIMC this morning... coincidence???

The item was purchased in September last year and hopefully will arrive later this week!!

So for any still missing parcels, they may eventually turn up !!... and might be worth giving JIMC a ring, even if you stay on hold for an age.....
