tombeej Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 5-7kg Lighter and he could win a Tour me thinks. I'm a Classics fan. I'd like to see him play to his strengths and become the new 'Mr. Roubaix' or 'Mr. Flanders'. When Tommeke and Spartacus leave us, there'll be a big hole for someone to fill. Picture the Classics battles in years to come of Sagan (25) vs Kwiatkowski (25) vs Degenkolb (26) vs Vanmarke (26) vs Alaphilippe (22) vs Benoot (21). Can't wait!

deanbean Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Hold up.....no ITT?Not this year, only TTT and prologue, seems made for Quintana
'Dale Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 I thought Didi Senft had given uphttp://c.o0bg.com/rf/image_1200w/Boston/2011-2020/2015/07/17/BostonGlobe.com/BigPicture/Images/DV2082239.jpg Apparently new sponsorship
'Dale Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 We mustn't forget that he's still a baby (still in the white jersey comp) and still a few years away from maturing fully as a rider. Pro cyclists age peak is around 29 - 32 years. He's still developing. I think he can only get better from here. Picture a 30 year old Sagan in 2020. Physically fully developed, battle hardened and experienced. And with a team built around him like Quickstep's Classics squad was for Tommeke... unstoppable. Sagaan has raised so many expectationsAnd, he is such a star performer that 15 2nd places in a Grand Tour is just unacceptable.Yeah, for sure, he can convert that into some wins. Truth is he is the most versatile racer and most impressive team player out there.

Gen Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Sagaan has raised so many expectationsAnd, he is such a star performer that 15 2nd places in a Grand Tour is just unacceptable.Yeah, for sure, he can convert that into some wins. Truth is he is the most versatile racer and most impressive team player out there.Sometimes his timing is just a bit off.. but once he has that sorted.. watch out. And it's not like he has never won.. he is just so damn good we are always wanting him to win.. up down flat.. doesn't matter we want it.. poor oke This yr he has shown exceptional grit.. TOC and now at TDF.. remember they changed the points comp to make it more suitable for the big sprinters. . He has worked damn hard to get the lead he has..
Bonus Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Sagan is very much like a footballer who is so "dangerous" they are always marked. The problem with success I guess.
HappyMartin Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 If I was to choose a rider of the tour it would be Sagan. He is like Schalk Burger with his work rate. Seems to pop up everywhere. Always ready to have a go. Marked out of existence on occasion. And let's be honest about personalities here. Do a simple exercise. Which riders would you like to have over for dinner? Quintana? No way. A grumpy little git. How about Mr Congeniality himself, Lance Armstrong? I don't think so. Andy Shleck? I would rather hang out with Justine Bieber. Indurain? Cadel Evans? Bjarne Riis? Wiggins? Yea that would be a hoot. Wiggins!!! Sagan is one of the few I reckon.
igknot Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 This fred should be renamed to " Home of the Sagan Groupies ". Did our man take second again today? Or is it only Jensie that could dish out pain on the rest day ?
