I saw the ride you and Corras did on Strava. Insane x 170. I think you guys are an example of what training should look like.

Thanks so much! Ye we both training very hard at the moment! Both in good shape as well and looking forward to the race!

The navigation is minimal, 2 left turns ...or is it right? If you're mid-pack, food is good gets a bit thin at the back. If your support vehicle is meeting you on the other side of the reserve its nice if they have something you are going to be happy with. Put snacks in boxes as you want.

It's a right turn and then a left turn, and another left turn - and then it's marked to the finish.

Interesting to see all the entries for sale, if you asked me Saturday 3h00 into my training ride I would have gladly added ours to the "For Sale" list.

But on the flipside, I'm never ever putting myself through this winter training torture for a TB event again, so just gonna stuck it out and make most of my one & only TB race [/quote

You take the words straight out of my mouth. Feel the same...lol

Well well well! 24 Days to go!! ......

Looks like I'm definitely going to be burning matches on this one! Jirrrrrrrrr.....couple of long rides....60/100k....but not anywhere it should be.... :whistling:

3rd TB for me is going to look to be a touring exercise....and who knows maybe a sunrise, sunset and another sunrise.....maybe pack in a bottle of Obeezz and just wing it with my partner and just enjoy the wilderness moments.....

Another quick question; what does the road/driving conditions look like between Willowmore and Jbay, for the family meeting up with us again in Jbay? Looks like it's the N9 and R62. Decent enough road to travel by day?

Yip no worries there, 'normal' SA roads.

Did one of those, LangsBaviaans year. Finished just before 08.00. Hey, everybody aims for a daylight finish... I think the last team to finish last year came in at 09.40 or there-abouts.

Wikus says: "If you haven't got to a 10-15hrs training week yet, Baviaans is not going to be easy.".......................
