I may have to slip out the office for a quick cycle :P

It is possibly the best looking bike I've seen this year (that and the S-Works Epic World Cup :P).

It's pure porn:

Black frame with white decals

Pike RCT3

Monarch Plus Debonairre

Reverb stealth

Spank Oozy rims

XO1

RS guide brakes

Kore cockpit

It's beyond good looking.

R56k though...

You mistaken about bridge. Hopefully he will get his own concept store.well spez better hook him up. He has been in the game longer than most.

I hope so.....was there Saturday...all doom and gloom about Spez ending their relationship with Bridge.

56k for that spec isn't that bad at all...

Totally. It's still f-off lots to pay for a bike, but it has the best of everything (I'm sure the hubs are tops too).

But then you look at the Canyon Strive (yes I know after-sales support) which has similar spec for under R40k.

Anyways, it's way more than I can afford. AND it's a few weeks in Europe with my wife and son. For a bike. When I already have two...

On that note, I have realised that one should make use of sellers' willingness to let you test ride bikes when you are in the market.

I have been sceptical about the fawning reviews about Pyga's and I myself tend to lean towards Spez as the default bike brand.

But my bike's been in for a service so the weekend Martin lent me his Pyga 110 for a lap of Rhebokskloof.

I am convinced that Pyga deserves every accolade they get. The bike blee me away. Climbed so well, and descending really felt fun and connected. Make no mistake, I always knew I was on a XC bike rather than an AM monster, but that is what made me really enjoy that ride. 110mm travel and it still felt keen for an even bigger fight.

Point is we all should challenge our perceptions. Go ride every bike you can (even a Spez :P). It's fun and you might just stumble upon your next best friend!

Just confirmed, you are correct.  :cursing:

Bridge has been selling spez way before Revolution and they have a concept store.

I do not know all the details but it just doesn't add up!!!

Wow! Looks like there is a good reason to dislike the way the brand is run, quality merchandise or not.

Totally some major BS going down. Is there a buddy buddy system at spez HQ. That would be typical SAFA STYLE!!

The S-Works logo is nothing but a clever elitist concept, you don't get infinitely much more gains from that to the next level down whether it being an expert or pro level bike.

Couldn't agree more. That's why I got myself an Epic marathon and not an S works.

Also have to take into account the over strict warranty rules and cost of service the Brain shocks. I do not like those Brain shocks, I much prefer to use my human brain and lock the shock out with a remote and make those Epic`s eat dust on short steep climbs.

What. No ways. They always had great deals on Spez bikes. Always waited till the new models arrived, and then I would buy last years model for 20 percent off.

I refuse to support concept stores. Never. What stores remain? Bmt and Paarl. Olympic gone, cyclefunatic gone and Bridge cycles.

maybe it start to sink into your noggin that you are whoring yourself to a parasite

Bridge was informed at the beginning of March that they are no longer needed by Specialized SA.

this after hey sunk money into a new store specifically for the Specialized brands need for apartheid
