Got to practice my think youre a hotshit and fall on your face move, So, bike fine, ego somewhere in the bush, think I need a little more practice and respect for this thing, maybe the disgusted looks from the other, more refined Spaz riders, made the crash so much more satisfying. It's really horrible having an Ultra Liquors for a neighbour. Horrible, I say. eddy Posted March 4, 2016 Posted March 4, 2016 Thumbs up to Revolution Cycles Spez concept store: I picked up my bike and shoes at the transport company this morning and as I put them on I realised that the one Boa fastener had broken. I popped in at Revolution to buy a string and because I could see how busy it was, planned to fit it myself at home. No worries for Jason/Justin ? who grabbed his little tool an quickly fitted it for me. Thx guys, much appreciated.

V12man Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 During final bike prep for Epic I discovered that the plastic SWAT box clip was not holding properly - got a crack in the clip - tried to find a replacement from #specialized They DON'T sell a replacement box - you have to buy a complete kit - R1600 to replace a R30 part - and you get about 6 things you don't need. And if your dealer is nice enough to strip a kit for you (and sell the components you don't need) - the box price is R900..... What a RIPOFF......

Hannes from spez SA has committed to sorting it out via my dealer - we will see..... I am not a believer in their service at all after this.

My experience of the Concepts Stores (Jhb and Cpt) has been excellent but, as i said, it's not an inexpensive exercise. My view is that we've already seen bike financing and next up will be "Bikerplans" for your Spez or a "Full Maintenance Lease" or similar....

The Revolution guys are the business - always gave me great service and helped my brother out in an emergency (both bikes bought elsewhere).

V12man Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 After all the hubbers commenting and biatching about poor service and getting ripped from spaz seems you are a slow learner,,,makes me wonder if that Hubber the other day wasn't on to something when he accused you of not having any medical knowledge,,,,those Drs they are fast learners isn't it I have had no issues up till now with any of the stores service - but what brand in their right mind sells EVERY piece of the SWAT kit individually, EXCEPT the ONE piece most likely to break - the plastic box - so in order to replace that, you land up with the following items you don't need or want, and guaranteed already have (because the bike came with the kit) 2 x bottle cages1 x multi tool1 x bomb1 x bomb head adapter1 x tube1 x chainbreak So - I have only one thing to say to #specialized - #EPICFAIL - nice try to gouge your customers.... And finally - a big up to Phillip at Complete Cyclist in Bryanston and his boss - they came through with a replacement - FREE of charge - which just goes to show that some dealers have more decency and common sense than the brand - because I know the replacement had f-all to do with Spez.
