I know it's an emotive thing when it comes to bikes. I bought back my stolen and recovered bike. The insurance company had already paid me out. When I told them I'd recovered the bike they came to my house and took it away and did not refund the money i spent recovering the bike. If the insurance company has paid you out do not get involved. It's not your bike anymore. Learn from other's stupid mistakes. (Mine)

My wife (Who happens to be an insurance broker) told me DO NOT GET INVOLVED!! Of course I didn't listen. Bought the bike back thinking is was being a good citizen. Dumb. I know it's an emotional thing and I feel for your loss but getting her back will feel like getting back with a girlfriend who's cheated on you. She will be a bit tainted.

YIP Trust them brother - they won't stick a gun to your head, drag you to the nearest ATM and force you to drain your account or anything! It's a bleak situation - that is was a one of a kind machine that you put loads of passion into. Now it's just another stolen bicycle (like a trillion others) in SA.
