Just a pity doesn't have an option for Canti brakes. I like the performance of discs but love the traditional look of cantis

I would go for discs as it looks way better for me

Different strokes.

 

Cantis are more traditional and would be (are) my choice.

i'm 50/50 split, prefer the look of canti's but on the other hand cant deny the performance of discs...

Look great, but a pain in the ar$e to set up and maintain. There is a reason they disappeared off MTBs

I eventually collected some goodies for my CX bike this morning.

 

A set of Sammy Slicks as I do a lot of road riding with the bike. The SLX cassette as previously mentioned will be mated to an old 9spd SLX RD. Don't ask me how but yes, a 10spd Shimano STI works with a 9spd RD.

the best mud clearance of any brake on the planet, that is what they are popular for cyclocross .
