Stricker Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Hi GentsSame as per bike cost ,this would be your allowance/ budget each month compared to monthly income (Net after deductions, $$$ you see in your bank account ) This would be for clothing, Nutrition(bars/Gel/Choc Milk etc) maintenance(tubes, lube etc )
LOOK695 Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 What are you going to do with all the info gathered? I would say that bike cost versus salary and spending is a private matter

Stricker Posted December 4, 2014 Author Posted December 4, 2014 Basically to see how I (Noob) fits into the bigger cycling community regarding cycling expenses
LOOK695 Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Basically to see how I (Noob) fits into the bigger cycling community regarding cycling expensesWhy would you want to compare yourself to others? Buy what you can afford and spend what you NEED to spend. Careful about the wanting to have the best and most expensive
Escapee.. Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 I have a morning ritual that I would like to share with you. I call it "The Terminator" First I crouch down in the shower in the classic naked terminator travelling through time pose. With my eyes closed I crouch there for a minute, visualizing either Arnold or the guy from the second movie (not the chick in the third one because that one sucked) and I start to hum the terminator theme. Then I slowly rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me to proceed through the day as an emotionless cyborg badass. The only problem is that the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It really ruins the fantasy
dre Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Buy what you need most first, as soon as you can... simple really.
DIPSLICK Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 i think its better known as common sense, and a budget, if you cant work with money ie, you want to spend more than you should, then listen to the person giving you sound adviceif you have the means PULL THE TRIGGER, EASY

GLuvsMtb Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 I think its a healthy question to ask. If you have a line item in your budget you know where to draw the line in terms of race entries, accessories and trail fees. If you spend 15% on your cycling and 5% on retirement you may want to review your budget. I must say that as my salary increased my bike spend remained more or less the same, apart from a big purchase last year to go to Canada for a race. I suspect I spend less these days as the novelty of new toys, new tires, upgrading stuff all the time etc has worn off... oh wait. Thats not entirely true. Almost forgot about the Pike I bought for me for my birthday. As you were ladies and gents.
DIPSLICK Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 What happens if you pull it hard?YOU DO KNOW ITS THURSDAY HEY????GO BACK UNDER YOUR BRIDGE COME BACK TOMORROW
blondeonabike Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 YOU DO KNOW ITS THURSDAY HEY????GO BACK UNDER YOUR BRIDGE COME BACK TOMORROWBridget is just feeling prickly today. The terminator story was a load of nonsense. He was just trying to shave his legs in the shower and got caught up in the curtain.
