My wdtv got fried by lightening... As did my TV... What do you reckon is the best combination... My TV was only 32" so the insurance payout will only be about 4k.

Here's what I need.... Linking to my media server via the network... Being able to access services like Netflix Tunein etc... Added extras would be to link to filmon.tv and sports devil etc... Or just browse a website

I was thinking roku3 and normal HD TV as per my previous set... Maybe a 40"

Is roku3 xbmc based? Because then you can get all the Addons

Since Tuesday, I've got a problem watching Hulu through my PS3? If I watch on my PC, it works 100%, but as soon as I open the app, it just keeps on saying Loading....

I did delete the app and re-install and my ADSL speed is over 2.5mbps.

But, Netflix and all the other apps are working fine on my PS3?

Does anyone have a solution? I tried mailing Hulu, but they just say re-install en Delete...

Roku3 is the best player for sure, its not XBMC based but can connect to a XBMC server or plex server. You add app which they call channels and there are a ton of them available.

Most likely cause is an update on the PS3 app, most of them are forcing internal use of google DNS now.

You work around it by rerouting the google DNS servers in your router to point to a non-existent internal IP.

Are you using unotelly? there are some tutorials on this for most routers on their support pages.

Trying out netflix. Are the lates episodes available on netflix? I am not seeing the latest seasons of a lot of series. Is it because i am using the trail version?

Seems everything is a season behind.

Netflix focuses more on having the entire history of a series available. If you also subscribe to Hulu you will find mostly recent episodes there. So the 2 compliment each other well.

+1. Love Hulu for my Series and Netflix for my Movies and Kiddie Programs for my Son

I love my Roku3 but afaik it is not possible to link filmon.tv or other web-based sport sites such as cricfree etc.

So I still need a solution of how to do that without having a PC by the TV. Any solutions will be appreciated, maybe so ring like chromecast

http://www.filmon.com/download#roku

Roku app for filmon.

Seems a bit messy but here it is anyway:

http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:http://tvcric.info/khantv-to-live-cricket-channels-streaming-watching-on-the-roku-player/

I can tell you there are a million private roku channels that have everything you can imagine, I have watched twitch streams and even watched the whole TDF live on the roku through a channel a friend found.

Excellent thanks for the links. Will give them a try when back home, will give feedback here or post questions [emoji106]

Is there a specific site where you search through the private channels for the TdF etc?

I installed a very neat little Google TV Android 4.2 box for a friend recently,  works a treat, adding apps etc from Google Play, lots of games for the kids, FlightTracker for dad... YouTube for mom. They have Fibre to the Home coming soon, I suggested 20 Mbps Uncapped for starters although it remains to be seen how provisioned that service is going to be upstream.

Only limitation with this is no Flash, so one cant take advantage of a lot of the PC browser-based streaming thats doing down, or any Browser based service that wants Windows gizmos like Active X.

It plays full HD no problem, I see most of them support UHD/4K now.
