Or the poor guys in AL that went down hard before 5kms

True

Plenty Crashes....

hectic

Yip, went into the gravel & fell over avoiding that crash...

Think it was an Esmero rider than went OTB and off the road in VB when passing a slower rider from the front groups.

Hope he's okay, as well as the other crashees

I also went farming during that first crash in AL, but managed to stay up.

Big thanks to the guys that tried there best in the second part of the AL group. Albeit just a few that pulled many.

I really enjoyed it.

I went down 10kms later @#$%^ ... At least i'm here to tell the tale :)

Sti gave grief so I ended up riding a fixie for 15kms  (so much for 22 gears,lol).. eventually I just stopped and stripped it to get it working again.

Some A guys really need to be more vigilant and hold lines, this zigging and zagging just because you can is so dangerous(Twits).

I had fun in spite of the drama and chatted to some cool okes ... howsit Johan.. Glad you said Hi

Kudos for surviving out there Soldiers !

While waiting on the side of the road for the sweep vehicle, I had to stand most of the time because when I was sitting a lot of people asked if I was okay, thinking I may have crashed.

It's amazing the number of people that actually DO care for our fellow cyclists on the road - at least the ones not chasing a category win anyway.

What's the etiquette in races in general regarding riders zigzagging and jumping on the brakes constantly. Do you comment and tell them to hold their lines or try and avoid them and just let them be? There was a chap on a black pinnarelo in red and black shorts in AL that was all over the place the whole race. Just didn't look where he was going and people around him were constantly forced to swerve or brake sharply. As. Far as I could see nobody seemed to give him a word. I'm pretty new to the road thing so thought better not to say anything

With such cycling skill, one can only ponder how the hell that "rider" (who swerve & brake sharply) get into the AL seeding in the first place.
