Personally i dont understand all the fuss.

I mean...how are women supposed to be good at sports?

It takes a lot of training and time. Time they simply dont have in between cooking and cleaning etc...

You folks are being unfair to to them by expecting too much.

Wayne I like you...... It is great to see some men can relate to how it must feel of a woman to "squander" her prime years being pregnant, breastfeeding and having a tot on her hip.  Hell .....my 3 kids are only all in school now and I have the luxury of trying on clothes without having to drag my menagerie into the changerooms with me.  So at the ripe old age of 35 any dreams of turning pro may be dashed.  But every moment I have on my bike, I am just me....and I don't have to worry about someones project, supper or snotty nose.... is a freedom few men understand.

I do find the ladies racing just as entertaining however this probably only applies to the top 5 (Manon Carpenter, Rachel Atherton, Emaline Ragot, Tracey Hannah, Tahnee Seagrave)

absolutely. we were watching the leogang WC yesterday - my wife was so excited for the ladies ripping it up, down the course. She was saying, surely these girls beat many of the men (actually not the case at all).

but when you look at how competitive, it's a very small pool of top ladies. It's probably much harder to crack the top50 in the mens than the top10 in the ladies.

If anything, base it on finishing times if the women ride the same route as the men. Finishing time should dictate % winnings, regardless of gender.

Maybe give the women flowers after a race???

Well I was wrong. she actually came 25th overall 7 seconds behind Mthokozisi

23rd man was Lympson Maifo.

24th man was Mthokozisi Mbokombela

25th man Skhumbuzo Dlamini

Caroline's run was simply beautiful to watch, I wish I could feel and look as in control as she did.

Saw another one last weekend..... Daniela Ryf swiss triathele

Finished 10th overall this year at Switz 70.3, she had already passed quite a few of the elite men in the swim despite starting 2 minutes behind them.

Gasp! Thats so offensive! Please take it down. How dare they make jokes like this.

I agree, what the hell were the organisers thinking - making men hold bouquets of flowers like that?

May as well just cut off their meat & 2 veg!
