Brian Fantana Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Hi there, Yes it was me who you tried to pass on Sunday. I don't want a mud slinging contest so here are my concerns: I was riding with my 60 year old mom at Northerns on Sunday when you came screeming into the single track shouting for us to move as you were coming in fast. As for VERY slow, I'm not even going to say a word! My mom had to uncleat and move over, where it wasn't really possible. Could you not have waited five minutes for a clearing to pass? Northerns is a family riding spot, imagine that was a kid you had snuck up on? I'm all for unskilled people staying off the black routes, that's why we weren't at Thaba! I think you should take your travel and ride some real technical stuff where us slow people don't hold you up? The guy riding behind you actually complimented my mom and told her to relax and just ride, you should try that sometime! We have been riding northern farms for 15 years, this is not a New Years resolution! This post should be on every page of this thread, so readers can see just how one sided the opening post was.
BarHugger Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Divine incarnate deities on two wheels . ........tieties op twee wiele.............??
DIPSLICK Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 You have far more experience in starting ethnic "discussions" so don't be polite now. You are what you are so don't try to be something you're not.Your turnwell it is friday after all ding ding LETS KEEP IT CLEAN...ISH
Guest Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Lets start talking about race? The thread should pick up speedYes. But will it be a blistering speed like the op can achieve?
Cois Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Whaaaat!!!?????..........agroness at RMH (Rosemary Hill).......................you have permission to tell them whatever you want. RMH is for chilling and having a nice time with family ...................Was no fun at all. I mean if you see a MTB'er with blood streaming down her leg, what do you do. Give the person some space and chill. I must share. There was a kid (about 3-6 years old) with a kick bike that did the 6km at RMH. I respect dads that will take the time to share this sport with their kids. No matter how young they might be, and no matter if they are slowing down everyone on the trials.
RaceFan Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 While I initial thought the thread was funny the doctor's subsequent reply was not funny at all. This pseudo intellectual one man wolf pack is a douche and doesn't deserve any further attention.
Brian Fantana Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 To the OP, if you want to ride singletrack at race speed, it will perhaps be a better idea to go at the break of dawn, or late in the afternoon, just before sunset. You have admitted that you were there late morning, and that the trails were busy. Surely you should have made peace with the fact that you might encounter traffic, right there? PS: If you go for a ride early morning in summer it is a good idea to let your friend (if you have one) ride in front to clear the spider webs.

RMH is so flat and bike friendly that the douche could make his own line for 10m to past.........that is if he has the necessary skill and capabilities.

mazambaan Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 To the OP; sign up for enduro or downhill then you will have the track all to yourself, unless of course you suffer from terminal udder shrink and get overtaken. Then I hope will pull over smartly.

RMH is so flat and bike friendly that the douche could make his own line for 10m to past.........that is if he has the necessary skill and capabilities. The biggest problem. Tell that to the novice with 11km on a bicycle. The OP just one day got on the bike and had the skills of Lance or one of those blokes. For us mere mortals it takes years and lots of time to get there. And being on a trial for the first time is rather scary. I know, if I take a tumble all my guts (stupidity) goes out the door. So for a person who just started out, who fell in the first 2 km of a trail, I say respect. Because I would have given up pushed the bike to the side and would have waited for the bakkie and search teams to come and find me. And I doubt that we will return to RMH soon. And I know it is not because of the fall. No, it is because other people made comments that shaved all the fun out of the day, and made it a it a day of feeling that she kept the people from riding at their pace.

I volunteer to ride shotgun at the back..............all 105kg that can hog a single track nicely....... oh, and I suffer form an occassional mild case of Tourette syndrome which affects my steering skills
eddy Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 I threw this in to google translate and I still have bo clue what you are trying to say .Sheriff I did the same with this but could not make head or tail. Can you translate it for me? a horst link doesn't have a rearward axle path as the main pivot is still, well the main pivot point. a VPP creates a virtual pivot point high above and forward of the BB where it would be impossible to put a pivot on most bikes as it would result in high levels of chain growth, giving you a rearward axle path at lower leverage rates, and in most cases of the longer travel version, an S shaped axle path. a horst link behaves more like a single pivot under braking, but because of the engineered in chain growth, prevents peddle bob, but they're nowhere near as active under breaking as VPP.
Wyatt Earp Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Bliksem.........that went quick...........race topic! He is one of those keyboard grootbekke .Probably rates his own abilities as well with a name like RaceFan .

It is also spilling into the races where guys are competing heavily for 1253rd and 1254th position overall and in the process are acting like complete douche bags to people that are just out for a bit of fun.
