RaceFan Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 He is one of those keyboard grootbekke .Probably rates his own abilities as well with a name like RaceFan .I'm a complete noob actually.
Odinson Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 According to the OP they should not be riding there. And then I see this in other news . OP, you are really awesome, a demigod on two wheels .This I dedicate to you, even though your posture in your profile pic is all wrong. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ehToBz7zhqE&list=RDehToBz7zhqE I had an after thought as well .I wonder how many people actually have the ability to ride at the level they speak of ?Often I just sit back and think that in their mind the lunch box has just received a new legend. It's Friday, bring it on . Such a beautiful tribute, Wyatt. We should all lay the praises on our wreath-wearing, rainbow striped god of the trails, the esteemed Doctor Ph.D.
RocknRolla Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 I see the OP (Stephen Gous) is such a talented rider, he received a random prize at the Hakahana Enduro!!!! I feel sorry for people like this, how can they enjoy MTB with such an attitude?
Odinson Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Sheriff I did the same with this but could not make head or tail. Can you translate it for me? . Eddy, it is not for us lesser minds to understand the the words of such a higher being.

Jirre, this oke is like a mystical animal, something like a rainbow farting unicorn or something. The PEACH on top of the cake is the "POWER YOGA" WTF is THAT? Downward Kungfu Dog, stretch, blixem, stretch - who knows?
SteveJhb Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 So.... Choosing to post for the first time on this thread may be a mistake, but here goes. By way of introduction, I started cycling again during the December holidays for the first time in twenty years. I cannt believe I waited so long to do it.I don't consider myself a mountain biker, yet, I consider myself a returning cyclist riding a mountain bike. If skill level is graded from 0 to 10, I'd say confidently that right now I'm about a -3... I went to NF for the first time last Sunday. And what an eventful morning it turned out to be. Got there just after 6, on my first ride out I went past that poor bloke who had the bad tumble (the NF FB page says he is recovering well) and on my second ride out came upon the bike-jacking scene a few minutes after it happened. Having said that, I loved the place, and can't wait to go back this Sunday. For the record, I did the 12km 'green' route, which for me at this stage of my fitness and skill level was just about perfect. Speed-wise I'd say I kept a solid average speed of about 4 miles a weekend, give or take, but I had an absolute blast.. My goal this Sunday is two try do two laps of the 12km route as a single ride... My question to you folks is this... I was very conscious of being a noob and not wanting to break any rules. I noticed several boards where the track was two way, and that we were to keep left, which I did religiously. A few times though I had much faster riders come toward me, two and three abreast, who for the most part forced me to go off the track. (they stayed abreast as they came past me) What is the rule/etiquette in a situation like that?

I did find it today though, and this is the first time I've read a 16 page thread from beginning to end in one go.
