Top two BL results also look a little off.

I was in the lead BL group all the way, taking a few turns at the front before the insanely strong group of CL riders caught us.

I don't believe there was anyone that got of the front of BL before the last km into Serengeti.

It would be interesting if Gps tracking access was compulsory, Just saying ....

Said it before, go create a segment on Strava for the short cut, check who rode those segments at time of race... Bam!

It was unfortunately the short route that the guys took. but it would probably still work as the short route people would probably be much slower.

Also time. The short cutters I saw at Berge n Dale were taking the short cut before the short route riders had even started.

Try it, see what info pops out afterwards, if nothing comes of it, oh well.

Must say Had a good race in AL where we did not have to many issues axcept guys turning right in the right hand lanes , did not hear any crashes or see any.

Unfortunately missed the break that went at 50 km mark an tried to get across but after bridging 300 of the 400 m could not close the rest . DID TT for around 4-5 km and decided to go back to bunch. At Least got away at the King Goerge Hotel, and got a OK time , So happy how things turned out.

We must have ridden together from St George's to the finish. I was one of the "tjops" in Activize kit, was riding a Felt.

my first DNF, started with elites got a piece of class 20 km in and punctured on a brand new tyre, fixed it only to suffer another puncutre 10 km later, turns out a piece of glass got stuck in my tyre, cant feel it from both sides but when the tube gets inflated and you hit a bump it pierces.

Walked 2 km, and weighted 50 min before `n racer handed me a tube. Then I continued the race only to be directed wrong my the marshals, so I did the loop twice, on the second loop AL caught up to me I then realized I was guided wrong so was gonna do a base ride with the AL guys was riding in the front, but I punctured again, being the 3rd puncture had no tubes, so that ended my race

Kinda wished someone would be kind enough to give me a tube but was not the case, 4 hours in sweeper bus before I got to the start.

Very bad they out, ag well will be back next year, cant go any worse

You must have quietly been happy to get those flats after your effort at BnD the day before :)

not really I was hoping to get my first finish with the elites bunch. Haven't had that yet and the chances to do it is better on a flat race.

waking up at 3:15 to be on time for a race and then to only race 50 km is no fun

Keep persevering!

Would be nice to see you finish with the peloton at the Carnival City Macsteel National Classic.

Just tried it out, Seems I have to have ridden the sector myself before I can create a segment. Damn I didnt cheat and I did the full long route so I cant create it. Unless someone knows how else I can do it? Or we get one of the short cutters to create it for us? :w00t:

This was my first 100+ race.  Just a few comments from a fairly new rider...

The route was tough and at some stages a tad monotonous but all in all a very nice ride.

I was however annoyed with the confusion about which timing chip to use... Why would they ask for my racetech number on my race number if the race is timed by champion chip?

It took ages for my GF, who bailed at 73, to get back to the start, is that normal?  Sounds pretty bad to me....

The guys at the water points where awesome.

I started cramping at about 80 KM and had to get off the bike for a while.  Thanks to oom Jan  (on a Raleigh) and Thabo (on a Specialized) that got me going again and kept me motivated!  It really helps if you have some people to talk to on the way.  I unfortunately got no details of the chap that gave me the tablets for cramps at the Saint George hostel water point (You where a life saver).

This was such a fun race.  I thoroughly enjoyed myself.  I was tired after doing the Berge en Dale the day before but there was not much climbing in this one.  Fast and flat – what I always expected of a Joburg race.  The one stretch of road was terrible, it was like riding on pave with so many vibrations.  Much prettier than the 94.7.

VA followed the cop car, the bike marshal and the CSA official. Wrong way.

Ended up doing 120km and had to wait for the dude "in the break" that was also shown the wrong way to return to the bunch after we have turned around.

Route change at 99 and timing co. change last minute (no seeding for Argus or 94.7) coupled with a lot of people missing the correct route......

The organisers wont get my money next year.
