Apologies for the hi-jack....

but I'm contemplating a pair of Radarlock photochromics to replace my Rudy Photochromics.

Nothing wrong with my Rudys, they're immaculate and work great.... just got an itch...reallly like the look of the Oakleys.... BUT... are they worth it? do they transition as well as the Rudys do? or am I better off just sticking to my Rudys?

I have two pairs of Rudy's

A Magster with racing red lenses and Rydon photochromatic

An interesting thing about the Rudy's is the fit.make sure the nosepiece is correctly positioned so the glasses dont touch your face.

I used to use the Rudi's . Wont touch them anymore.

Almost all of my pairs, the lenses went all funny and developed little spots on them. Had like 6 pairs (all ASG auction pairs)

Now i stick with Oakley.

I buy them from eyewearSA, at about half of retail price.

I concur with the Rudy Project lenses either peeling on the edges or something after a 2-3 seasons

I'm a Rudy fan and take care of my kit and don't use one pair consistently as I have 3-4 sets. :-(

We thought it just worth a mention, we obviously also strongly vouch for Rudy Project!  Did you know that Rudy Project will replace or repair at our option, free of charge, upon receipt of a completed proof of purchase card any Rudy Project sunglasses found to be defective during the warranty period?

To top that, we've also got a lifetime lens guarantee on our ImpactX & Photochromic lenses to never break.

I currently ride with Rudy Project Kalyos Chrome's and my problem with them is after about 6 months the plastic has started to peel on the one arm, very slight but it will obviously worsen with time. Also, I have 3 sets of lenses with the frame, and the one set (of course, typically the lenses I prefer) don't sit 100% against the frame on the one side.

When it comes time to replace them, I'm probably going to go Oakley.

Oakley RadalLocks.  I have the RadarLock XL.  have a huge head.  dont even know you have them on.  they expensive (R3K mark)  but come with two lenses normally,  one polorised then either amber yeallow or clear lenses.  great for night time and winter nights to keep face warm ( they HUGE)

the photochromatic slightly cheaper but only comes with one lense,  but you can always order more.

and the HD lenses are amaszing!  really feels HD as brings out colours and contrast like no other.

and they pretty hardy

I bought D'arcs cheap pair but did not sit that well on my face and the lenses are not that great and the frame is made to come apart when you crash but did so when not crashing.

I now use those only for driving and bought a pair of CEBE and they are great. I have the interchangeable lenses one.

Thanks Jimmy, which one's do you have?

Sorry for the slow reply. I have the Seek CF photochromatics. Sportsmans has the biggest range of their glasses. I got mine at the Sweat Shop though..

Such awesome glasses!
