Looking a buying first dual sus 29er for 25 -30k and distilled these two as best options in that price range.

Views as to which is better or other alternatives?

I have the anthem. .. really happy with it. Very few people are unhappy with their anthems.

The pyga frame is a bit pricier so you'll get a lower spec bike with the pyga, especially at 30k.

Never ridden the pyga, but it gets rave reviews from everyone. Pretty sure you'll be happy either way.

Where can I get a 110 for under 30k????? Both great bikes but the Anthem is more a XC style bike whereas the Pyga is apparently more comparable to a Trance in ability, but perhaps more able on the XC than the Trance. Depending on what you want to do the Anthem is a great XC machine but the Pyga is way better on the the more technical stuff and possibly a more comfortable ride. I have had an anthem 29'er which I enjoyed till I got the Trance 29'er which suites me much more with how and where I ride, but the Pyga is my dream bike, so my opinion is biased towards the Pyga but you won't regret the Anthem either if you want to be more of a dirt roadie type rider.

What type of riding are you going to be doing mostly?

Do you have more detail on the Pyga in that price range??

But yes - how do you plan to get a 110/29er for 30k!? Second hand?

Frame is R20k. Was hoping to get rest built up for R10k

Is that cloud cuukoo land? If so what would be more realistic?

PYGA blows it out the water, and that takes a lot of doing. More adaptable and capable in pretty much any situation.

This pretty much sums it up!
