madbradd Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 I have the anthem. .. really happy with it. Very few people are unhappy with their anthems. The pyga frame is a bit pricier so you'll get a lower spec bike with the pyga, especially at 30k. Never ridden the pyga, but it gets rave reviews from everyone. Pretty sure you'll be happy either way.

Both great bikes but the Anthem is more a XC style bike whereas the Pyga is apparently more comparable to a Trance in ability, but perhaps more able on the XC than the Trance. Depending on what you want to do the Anthem is a great XC machine but the Pyga is way better on the the more technical stuff and possibly a more comfortable ride. I have had an anthem 29'er which I enjoyed till I got the Trance 29'er which suites me much more with how and where I ride, but the Pyga is my dream bike, so my opinion is biased towards the Pyga but you won't regret the Anthem either if you want to be more of a dirt roadie type rider.

Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Frame 20k, wheels 5k, groupset 4k minimum, fork 8k, then you have tyres, saddle, seatpost etc etc. I'd say 35k minimum if you shop 2nd hand for the parts.
