I'm just grateful it wasn't a tube with sealant in it - that would've been a mess. @wyatt I'll save up and visit your guy - does it come with a lesson on bombing and plugging and all that funky stuff?

I did check. Not pinched, that's a bead that wasn't seated properly. Tyre pops off rim, tube goes bang. 1 new tube, 1 fresh pair trousers.
