i reckon your RHR could even be less than what you stated earlier. When I did a trial with SSISA/UCT they required me too sleep with a HRM to get the most accurate RHR.

Was she hot?

My heart measurement excersises where/are prompted cause my heart rate monitor reported a 218bpm over the weekend during the Tour de PPA. So i decided to keep an eye on it.

Ok so today i got some people at my work - worked up about my resting heart rate. I was told its not possible and that only ultra fit people have a heart rate of around 50bpm...and that my garmin heart monitor is faulty.

So my boss has that new tom tom strap less heart monitor watch and we did a few tests. Test was done just by sitting still at your desk,

My colleague runs the Comrades and all those other ultra marathons. He is 40 something with a resting heart rate of 67bpm?

My other colleague is a extreme trail runner. He is 28 and does 50km events of trail running like the 3 peak challenge. Resting heart rate around 55bpm.

My boss is 40 and runs 10km regularly and does mountain bike cycling. Resting hear rate of around 65bpm.

Mine today was 49.

Does that mean that cyclists have lower hear rates than runners? Cause everyone here reported mostly below 50bpm as RHR.

It might just support a theory that a resting heart rate 50 plus makes for a fitter athlete .

And how much coffee did they drink today already?

RHR like max HR is individualistic
