Two vantage points sanctioned by Epic and TMNP. Both will be cluster F...s . So does that mean no riding from Deer Park or hiking  in case you catch yourself spectating and damage the mountain any more than you would on any other day? Strikes me as utter BS and typical SANP thinking plus a bit of a TV monopoly for the Epic and easier marshaling... Cant watch the  race properly even when its on your doorstep.Pretty disappointing IMO. Its just not MTB.

Another Sanparks stuff up. What's with the Bulls riders all showing their activity cards on twitter, did Sanparks force the Epic to get each entrant to buy an activity card - wouldnt surprise me.

Here's a novel idea for Sanparks - instead of full control mode today, maybe try acting as ambassadors, stewards (as per those little words on your shirt), you could even use the opportunity to educate people about the use of the mountain. (But I guess that assumes you Sanparks actually has a clue about the asset they steward).

Clearly I am no fan, I fully expect to be told where to stand today by some ignorant, over zealous ranger with strict instructions to control everything.

Stunning day in Cape Town....maybe Argus organisers must move it back by a week....heheheheeee. ..☺

I agree. Actually, I would prefer the race on the first Sunday in May.  Cooler weather and much less chance of SE.  Rain also not that high probability so early in May.  But that discussion may be for another thread.

The early groups had lovely cool weather today.
