Why not use a thread extractor? Drill a small pilot hole, put in your thread extractor and reverse the direction. Works for stripped bolt heads.

Isn't that what an easy out does? Drill small hole. Screw in easy out. The tool has a reverse thread and that's the magic.

Right. So I've tried the steel wool, an inner tube, I tried a brand new Allen key which is now trashed and all have failed. It just so happens I work for a company that produces some of the world's best epoxies and putties(you know the one). I'm thinking of trying the quick set steel method tomorrow eve as an experiment. I'll post some pics if I'm successful. Thanks for the offers Dipslick and V12man and all the others that took the time to make suggestions and offer advice. AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME.

Yebo. But I work in the minerals side of the business supplying perlite to the agricultural and forestry sectors. Sticky business is not my forte. Neither is electrical for that matter.

I had the exact same problem, but it was the Bolt on my Cleat. Had to take it to my Father in law to drill it out with his titanium drill bits. What a damn Mission...

An EZ-Out? I have one, but what kind of stem do you have? Some of them have Ti bolts, which just eat drill bits for breakfast...

Hi Droo

It's a Thomson MTB stem.

No problem. Bring beer.

I know a guy who has the tools and the patience. It's a proper mission though.

Easy enough to grind a slot in usually - then use a screwdriver bit....
