Come on, 20km??? You don't need any nutrition for 20 km. Try that on a stage racer or someone doing a full season of "fun racing". Every village has an idiot and that guy is the king. He did that test over a short period, not long term. You can eat what you want between xmas and new year(and maybe easter weekend?) but between new year an xmas you must eat properly!!! I'm sorry but I will stick to a healthy balanced diet that doesn't include junk food.

What about it is crap?  Seriously, please provide me with a rational explanation of what ingredients in their food is per se unhealthy (consumed in normal healthy quantities) orless nutritional than other forms of the same food types?

Not just 20km. Fist 90 min at max capacity, then eat, then a 20km time trial.

People get obese because their calorie intake is less than they burn.  Nothing to do with the food.  You can get plenty fat off nice organic snob food.

I eat McD's at least twice a week.  I'm in the shape of my life.  Because I exercise and don't eat the entire menu everytime I go there.

A Big Mac is no less an "engineered" recreational food than any sports food is.

 

Real food is generally purchased is the form it naturally occurs. Like potatoes, brocolli, steak, chicken breasts.

I'm going to go with Prof Tim Noakes on this and disagree with you. Not that I don't occasionally indulge in junk food but you have to draw the line somewhere.
