That shape is actually used for warning signs. Yield sign has the pointy bit at the bottom.

that's quite funny. the STOP pe fishfarm has a YIELD sign as their logo.

ah yes. but its definitely not a STOP sign. nor does it have a NO / through it.

incidentally, here is the 50/50 insert on the fish farm. Not really a balanced look imho, as the applicant(government didn't really thro any science into the debate). They got the EAP to comment, but they are impartial.

actually I have signed it under the pseudonym Yesto Fishfarm.

as you can gather, I think online petitions are dumb. The horse has bolted here, process is complete and just let them do the trials.

Marine aquaculture (for fish) is a terrible idea, only really works well for oysters and mussels. Some closed systems work ok, but the waste output of these open water types in the video will destroy the local ecology and reduce it to only a few worms that can survive anaerobically under tonnes of fish ****.

I would also suggest the next time you order salmon, tuna or shrimp - check that its also not farmed elsewhere because these industries are destroying the coastlines and rivers of many developing nations in addition to Scandinavian and N. American wild fisheries.

Not to mention the social impacts these farms have on local communities and economies, the accumulation of toxins from controlling parasites, and the amount of wild catch of smaller fishes needed to grow fish like salmon and tuna.

I'm not convinced how close would the swim course even be?

They're doing Rio Olympics in raw sewerage next year so don't think some fishtanks in the region means it has to be one or the other.

edit:so the swim course is about max 300m offshore. not even a 6th of the way toward the closest this place could be. very alarmist
