Am I the only one that felt the winds between 60 to 70km mark?

I found myself alone just before the 70km, it was tough till I found my legs just wanted to pedal between 80 to 100km (still alone)... Nice fast section that . Bee stung me at 90km though. Last 5km was a nightmare!

I could get my 32+km/h I was hoping for (pretty happy it being my 1st Long race). Been on the road bike for just over a month, so excited to get more training now.

A few DQs for guys crossing the line and it might stop.

Saw a guy on Twitter moaning becuase he didn't get a warning first... Take responsibility pal.

He should not complain. We were all warned on the start line to keep left of the white line.

Lekker ride with my club out of EL. ITT the last 35 km and died a thousand deaths into the headwind in the last 4 km! Goo day on the bike.

A nice touch was the Clover "melkies: at the end.

Sjo those two VB riders in your club rode strong! Were you one of them?

I was the rider in the Blue and Green Columbia/Energas kit.

In my mind I still see myself as a mtb'er. But if I'm honest with myself, the vast majority of my cycling these days is on my road bike. Bunch racing can become seriously addictive! Only problem is that you'll be daydreaming all day about parts upgrades for two types now - your cycling budget just got a whole lot bigger!

Yep, had the VB number.  I was on the old black Giant TCR with the Ocean Basket bib.  You also rode well!! Getting into shape to ride VB again - hope to be ready for D2D.

After doing the LMCS 6hr MTB event in Heidelberg yesterday I found it tough going today but still enjoy it.

I did at least have enough breath to shout hello to Hayley

Love the LMCS race, pity that I missed the entry to the event :-(

AH ok. I dropped at the hill where we caught the D batch. Had to swerve for someones bottle that came out at the rumble strips and then struggled to catch back up and getting through the d batch. Fitness not quite there yet. Still struggling up the hills. Had a nice ride with the rest of your club. Finished not long after Spidey (He definitely made some little boy's day- Heard the boy shout to his mom "Kyk ma, daar is Spider Man!!!"  )

From results I see 10 guys got away in DL, that almost saddens me with my 11th place (lol). To the guy that shared the load towards the end today... You rock man !

Found Myself for the first time today Kakking someone out (hands over mouth) , Only 2 of us were working for 30kms... and everytime the 2nd guy rolled through...The  clown 3rd in line would not roll through but refused to let me in... WTF.. some quick @#$%^ !!!   and  he quickly made space from there on . Its funny now though  :whistling:

I was the other, on the Ritchey.

Haven't been training much and showed in the latter stages of the ride.

You two sure looked like you were on a mission. You had D batch all stung out at the end of the uphill and downhill just before that left turn.

What time did you manage today?

Ended up in the B batch

Two guys in our batch started hitting each other, apparently the one guy kept cutting the other one off..

This was very interesting..

Tried to break away at the 45km(Stupid Idea)with another rider

Paid interest later in the race,Happy with results

No falls that I know of in our group

Good race
