Bike service stand

Hi Hubbers,

I am looking to get a bike stand to service my bike. I don't want to buy a Park stand as it is to expensive for me. I was thinking of using a normal bike stand, (the one which you put on the floor and hook your chain stays on it), and put this whole story on a table and fix the bike from there.

The only things is I don't know how I am going to hold the front end down.

Do you guys have any suggestions as to what I can try or have you made something that works for you?

Thanks again.

VERY CHEAP TO BUILD PROPERLY, AND YOU DONT EVEN NEED ANY EQUIPMENT,

SQUARE TUBING, FLAT PLATE, DRILL,  4 ROLL BOLT, ANGLE IRON ALL CAN BE ORDERED CUT TO SIZE AND IT WILL OUT LAST YOUR BIKE

CHECK GOOGLE MANY IDEAS ON BUILDING ONE

Try this - good value, may not be perfect, but it's the right thing to have.

this is awesome i have been using one for about a year or so. only advice i would give is to glue the orange bits on the clamp in place. mine keep coming off, i have been meaning to hot glue them in place for months but keep forgetting. really nice and stable stand.
