thanks man, unfortunately muscle damage as well as degloving, but yeah it shouldn't be too long if I avoid infection

Keep it clean and you should have nothing to worry about.

Get well soon!

Oi, those pics. I recon even with elbow pads you would not have got off Scot free, but they would have helped a bit...

They would have helped a lot I think..

Unless the elbow pads shifted in the fall they would have meant the difference between maybe a bruise, and a "degloved" elbow.

I think i am going to start using my elbow pads again after seeing that :o

I have clearly have not had a proper off.

My wife on the other hand....

She managed to hug a lamppost after a pedalstrike on a hidden block of concrete. Dislocating vertebrae, concussion and some lekker bruising. Broken helmet et al.

Visually not as upsetting as Daniel's injury, but the lack of correct diagnosis from the ER staff was pretty disturbing.

Not actually feeling too bad today .... yet

Definitely better than nothing. My experience with elbow guards was that the one time I needed them and was actually wearing them, they shifted and left me with a bit of a graze anyway. Of course it may have been much worse without them...

OP must not have such detailed stats on all the riders. I reckon he just likes watching them ride down a mountain and then switch off his TV and go ride his own bike.
