On a new Note, I have noticed that the Classified section is like a Spez graveyard ... many for sale ... Anyone have some insight into this ?

It's a function of the fact they have sold tons of them new over the last few years.

We tend to buy new bikes every few years. So there should be a correlation between new bikes sales 2-4 years ago and the second hand market of today.

Because we all want to sell our current ones to buy the 2016 Stumpjumper ;)

I don't think you can have a successful global brand, if you don't control the whole experience, post sale. I for one enjoyed handing in my bike at a race with a issue on the fork, to be given an identical loaner fork, for day 2 & 3, no questions asked and at no cost or inconvenience.

Much like the Pyga boys handing over complete bikes at J2C when anyone broke their any brand bike... Oh wait

Have heard guys being told warranty is shot because a non concept store touched suspension / gears as well as bottom bracket problems.

Like I said, actually think Spez is a very good product but don't like to the boxing in. Bit like Apple

What complete BS. How are they going to monitor this.

I just did a XX1 conversion on  my bike at home. According to you my warranty is shot? hahaha I would like to see them try

Correct, Lurch. Current bikes, liver, spleen, a few feet of intestine and the neighbour kids to get the dough to buy the new Stumpy FSR.

They don't monitor this, and they have no intention of doing so. Your warranty is not even close to shot.

Thanks Martin,

I am following that thread quite closely as well. I don't know where these rumor started but it is a bit concerning as I do most of my servicing myself.

What can I touch and what cant I touch? I know I am not allowed to service my own suspension, but to be honest I have never had the desire to do that.

What about things like the BB and Headset? The BB is standard SRAM technology...

So envious! Pics ASAP! The reviews the new Stumpy is getting is overwhelmingly positive across the board.
