Can I just say that I have read each and every comment in this thread and that it has by far been one of the most entertaining reads in a long time, you guys are great at this.

Sorry about that, TheHub's standard has dropped much lauer recently.

Yeah he appears to be ambidextrous with a spade in each hand at the same time

Anyway I think the first priority would be to recover the OP's dosh, it's not peanuts

Don't think Mr Sven realise what position his in.

Thinking about it there was an offer to render said service with acceptance at an agreed fee. That puts the 2 parties in a legally binding agreement. Whether it's been written down on paper or not is irrelevant. They have a contract. And if this thread is to be believed it puts Mr. Sven in breach.

goose not boxing just asking and not stirring just asking,,,clearly the man has access to the net??? there has been communication, clearly he knows about the thread,,,,,if someone was lying or slating you,, would you not come forward and clear up issues esecially since you train cyclist,,,this is a forum for possible future  customers

I don't agree. If it was all about the money, maybe yes. But as a matter of principle what right does he have to make such demands/threats without offering any reasonable explanation of his side?

He dug himself a hole and it seems his intent on carrying on digging.

I agree with both of your sentiments, I was just thinking of the best way for the OP to get his money back.

As a matter of principle I think the thread should stay, but in order to get his money back, take it down...

Can always start ta new thread after the fact educating people of Mr. Lauer's dubious business practices. :whistling:

Can he sue if it is the truth? Or only for the other 3 versions of the truth? Wait, have we figured out yet that the OP payed for a service he didn't get, or do we still need to hear 2 more versions to establish that? I'm confused now, I'll just leave

That's why I say move the debate to Facebook taking care not to defame the man's character. Simply give him the opportunity to give his side of the story. Here we are just a bunch of faceless nobodies. The threat of his "real" friends seeing this with the potential embarrassment will spurn him into action.

That's almost as bad as those articles on facebook saying you can get sued for posting pics of burglars and traffic violators. There is more chance of going to jail for riding the Cecila Cork tree trail than getting prosecuted in South Africa for stuff you post on online.
