I thought it was because of their cleats...

Chris Froome is my selected rider to win the Tour, but one wonders what Team Sky would have said if others teams had attacked Chris if he had fallen like Fabian Cancellara!!!!!! I recommend that you watch the stage again to see how events unfolded, other than the actual incident and resulting race refs decision to make the riders wait it was a pretty standard road racing situation with 60km remaining to a tough finish

I remember last yr the peloton slowed down for Froome twice (he fell twice)on the day he eventually abandoned and he wasn't even in yellow.

I saw the group being rather respectful after the neutral zone while winding the pace up fairly gradually (by Grand Tour standards).In addition to this all riders including Spartacus were in the peloton following the neutral. If anything, I was disappointed by how the Trek team left Fabian to his own defenses following the neutral.
