Is there any way, when the webpage updates, to stop the map reverting to map from satellite, and is there any way to see what time the riders were at certain places and thus give us an idea of how long they stopped at Minervayes I also want to know about the map thing.

Due to the recent tragedy at Minerva, we are not stopping there.The Oaks Hotel at Byrne have very kindly stepped in and they are now the lunch stop.The map has been updated to reflect this. Philippa C Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Love the difference in perspective on this event is viewed compared to other races.... That said, I have done a number of long distance events on a hardtail (love my hardtail) and I think after a few days & 100's kilos the extra bumps your body take would start taking it's toll when riding a hardtail and the extra suspension would have made a noticeable difference. Personally I would opt for a full suspension if I have the choice. Thanks for your thoughts guys. Don't have a mountain bike at the moment.

When I saw your tracker going up and down like you where collecting something, I just couldnt believe it. I had only met you briefly at the start and you had me so worried about you - never mind that my dear hubby was out on the same trail!! Thanks for the arm chair adventures!

Shebeen Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Map is the default as it loads faster. exactly. irritates me when satellite is the default and you sit there hanging personally i like to use the 'terrain' option first and only once someone is doing really exciting would i go to satellite!

I don't think its worth doing that unless you are racing. A little slip and you get a sprained ankle and your ride highly compromised or finished. For a racing snake that half an hour can mean a nasty forest section in daylight and save you loads or prevent you from beiing called Forest for the rest of you life.
