Can anybody advise the best soapy water for lubing the frame and beads?

I've read that dishwasher liquid is not the best, maybe some bike wash soap with water?  Any other ideas?

sunlight dish washing liquid. but it has to be Sunlight. Nothing else will work.

Add half a bottle of moisturizer to soften the tyre and you good to go

Groen sunlight

Spray onto the bead/tire.

For really hardegat tires, use a soft bristle brush to foam the soap up properly, don't know why, but it works

I have found more often than not that having your rim tape set up properly is 90% of the battle won. Some rims are better than others for seating tyres.I have probably only needed soapy water twice for over 50 Tubeless conversions that I have done. What tyres, what rims are you using?

Save some cash and get UST rims.

In the long run:

You save on sunlight soap

Frustration

Swearing the rims mothers _oes

Time and effort

More time to drink beer

Wasting money on rim tape

Thats my point of view, I hate a mission.

I wanna put my tyre on, sealant in, quickly pump my tyre and be done in 5 minutes

I've started using jaffa tape, works extremely well! Recently did four rims and seated all of them with no sealant and a floor pump. I added the sealant through the valve afterwards. Giant rims and onza/wtb tires.

Sunlight Soap and water in a spray bottle.

ZTR Rims are know for being a b!#ch to seat but from past experience a little elbow grease goes a long way.

You can also leave your tyres in the sun for a while to soften up

I used a floor pump to seat my Spez Fast Track tyres on Roval rims, not so sure about the ZTR combination, but the Fast Track tyres seated very easily. Used Sunlight before when seating Racing Ralphs on my Roval rims, also easily seated.

Kleen Green works. Any soap works - there isn't a special soap in this and anyone who tells you there is, is talking BS.

WE used to fit motorcycle tyres with a cake of green sunlight rubbed around the bead followed by a sponge. Worked a charm. It just makes the bead slippery and gives you a  quick seal.

Use your moms shampoo or your wife's face cleanser - it will all work.....

BTW - ZTR  have a bead on them for tubeless. Works a charm as well compared to older rims.

MOst of the TUbeles ready and Tubeless rims work well. NoTubes rims are among the best for retaining the tyre (but people need to read the fitting instructions and leave the wheels overnight before using them.).

Mavic XM819 has been an excellent product but at nearly 200 heavier than the NoTubes Crests they're a bit weighty for XC. They are very strong though!

Rather you than me using the wife's face cleanser .... nearly had a fit cause I used the 'extra hold' hair spray to fit grips .....

ZTR are one of the easiest to seat. I have 3 sets.

If these are a new set of tyres on an old rim, invest R 50.00 in new rim tape. Stretch it tight around the rim and do not force it down into the valley in the centre of the rim. Keep the tape stretched across this valley.

Put the tyres on by hand (Do not use levers as they easily damage the tape)

Remove the core from the valve. Pop the tyres on using a compressor (easiest method)

Let the tyres deflate. Add sealant. Inset the core.

Pump and Play
