On Eurosport today they said shimano sponsor the support team but do not provide the motorbike riders. These support guys are there to help the teams, its the idjit organizers and their riders that need to be feed to the lions...WTF they even fined Sagan 300 Chf because he lost his temper...stupidity reigns

"The motorcycle involved belonged to the Shimano neutral support team - one whose reputation was sullied when a support car knocked Jesse Sergent (Trek Factory Racing) down when he was part of a breakaway in the Tour of Flanders. However on Sunday Shimano claimed that the motorbike pilot was provided by the Vuelta organisation and not part of the Shimano neutral support team".

Ah, thanks for that clarification.  I was under the impression that they provided the riders.

I am starting to think that they should get riders that has some experience as cyclists themselves so that they understand the dynamics of peloton riding.

That was incredible willpower.

I was convinced Froome was going to win, even told hubby.. ag now we going to see him do that funny lunge on the line again and then there came Dumoulin.

Gen. Shame on you. I think you put the knockers on him. Heheheee.

Was on the road the whole day and recorded the action. When I saw my mailbox going mad I had to do all in my power to NOT READ any comments. Glad I did so I was still able to get excited at the finish. Wow. What a show.

Just glad (sorry Snails) that Chavez is at last a thing of the past. Hope I don't have to eat my words. Lol. The rest of us are depending on him taking a back seat.

Things looking very good for a close Vuelta!

Froome and Quintana looks like they might have gone for the rest more and come in a bit undercooked strategy and will probably get stronger now. Aru,Majka and Rodrigues looking very good.

We might just have 5 guys fighting this out which will be great!!

Valverde not so sure but lets see.

Louis is going great and I hope he end up riding top 10 GC. He is lying 12th now and a couple of the current top 10 won't be there after the high mountains so if he can be consistent he has a good chance.

Sounds like Wednesday is going to be brutal!

He will be there in the top 5, always is... he peaks for 8-9 months without being questioned.

I was just thinking yesterday...cant help but admire the guy...he is always there or there about and just gets on with business.

Yes there are doping allegations, blood samples linked to blood doping warra warra but even IF you still cannot deny he is one tough nut on a bicycle

Apparently Rodriguez helped design Wednesday's stage. . It does look brutal.

attachicon.gifScreenshot_2015-08-31-12-56-51.png

Over 5000m climbing in just 138km.

Out of this world massive. I don't recall ever seeing a stage with this much climbing.

There are going to be serious time differences by the end of stage 11.

For all those poor sods in the gruppetto it's going to be a bad day in the saddle. It better be a very large bunch all sticking together, otherwise a lot of people won't make the time limit.

When your blood turns up in the fridge of the biggest doping rings in Spain ever, those are not links, thats full on bust not a link.

He did not provide any info to authorities for his involvment, he just covered it up. His silence allowed other cheats to get away with it.

Lance was tough, Tyler was tough.

LAnce and Tyler...now you f ******* done it....

Where are they now? :whistling:

Valverde might not be able to afford razor blades but he's been around the block enough times (without being caught :w00t: ) to get a little respect from me, just for being a tough nut.
