I sat out on a planned 30km run today

Was a difficult decision but my left leg wasn’t happy close the end of Yesterday’s runs.

I’ll go run Vaal marathon this coming weekend to make up

Today’s run wasn’t enjoyable, but I still managed to stick to the plan of 3x 17 mins, 1 min rest in between and 5 mins warm up/cool down.

I don’t suppose hitting the deck yesterday morning had anything to do with it?

In what way was it not enjoyable?

Difficult to describe, but imagine the legs were full of lactic acid before the run. Not quite that feeling after a bonk, but similar.

You said you hit the deck yesterday.... maybe your muscles are "tensed up" after the fall.

What happened?

About 3Km into a 104Km ride, on Saturday... guy next to me swerved for something leaving me not choice but to ride into him. For me, roasties and some damage to my shifters and bar tape. For him, broken seat stay (cracked right through).

Luckily it was a few hundred metres from home, so I could cycle home, get my car, take him home, go back and patch up, swap bikes and meet up with the club for the normal 6:15 start.
