Good morning guys.

Been away for quite some time. Injured after comrades, then busy with move and building stuff, then lazy and then just plain 12kg of "sleg wees" and beer!

Starting to get out a bit again.

Seems like this thread is BUSY!! Approaching 500 pages already?!?

I am also going to Loskop. I did the 21 last year because it was a week after Two Oceans. The 21km is beautiful but tough. Hopefully, the road works will be better this year.

Hi guys, with the colder weather starting to set in, I notice that I struggle a lot more with cramps, predominantly in the hamstrings. Anyone got any advice to help with the cramps? And its not only when I run. It could be just a normal day at work but the cold will set off cramps. thanks

Do i smell i little race day competition on the brew  :whistling:

Definitely Not.... I'm not on the same level as Stu right now, hopefully the next 8 weeks will get me back fighting fit..

Am Looking forward to my First Loskop though, a little 3h59 training run...

Personally I believe cramps are primarily caused by (increased) training load, and that mineral supplementation will only cover the minority of cramping issues.

I see it as 'Demand vs. Supply' (which is the actual physiological capability at that stage.)

That is BS, but definitely not a race. I'll be trying to hold on to Ferret for a 3:59:01

Another good weekend of mileage and banter.

Good like for Ironman and Loskop guys - kick some ass!

Me, it looks like I will be in bed... picked up a bug from my little ones and it's slowly winning the battle - this really is not my year!

Stay healthy guys

Good luck. Seems like it is not my year either.

I started to get sick 3 days before OMTOM. Two and half weeks later and I'm still not 100%...
