That is amazing kms.

I take my hat off to you, I assume you are training for Ironman?

Where do you find the time? What work do you do?

I wake up at 5 to be at work at 7 in the mornings and leave at 5.

I run in the evenings only at 7.

Yes training for 70.3 in Jan (be my 4th) then full Ironman in April.... although pick key events throughout the year to keep the motivation going. (Apart from doing Tri's ...midmar, a few 21kms road races and most of the cycle races leading up to the 94.7 etc)

Usually do 1 - 1.5hrs at 5:30am then 1 - 1,5hrs in the evening depending on what discipline. Does not always go to plan, legs still feeling it from the 94.7 this morning so was feeling tired and only did 40mins on the IDT.

Weekends at the moment are 3-4hr cycle with a 1.5-2.5hr run on Sunday.

As for total hours, if a recovery week is roughly 6-7hrs, otherwise 10-12hrs per week.

I work 8-5pm in the construction industry but fortunately my commute to work is short (20mins)

If a bunch of you from Strava on the Comrades group get a follow request from some hooligan with a surname that makes his nickname obviously "The Grim", it's me!

(Those on the leaderboard without the privacy setting I just followed ekse!)

My wife would have left me long time ago if i trained that much, but nevertheless, those are very impressive figures, well done

Is not actually that difficult if you do

During the week: 1hr morning and 1 hr evening.

Up at 5:30 cycling (IDT) or running 50mins to an hour, off to work by 7am.  Evening Swim or cycle (for me can start at 5:30pm) so from 7pm latest have the evening with family

Weekends

Saturday out cycle 5am back 8:30am/9am - have full day with the family

Sunday out run 6am back by 7:30/8:30am and have full day with family

How much sleep do you get per night? (Just interested, as usually if I have to train I sacrifice some sleeping)

Usually in bed 9:30-10pm latest... must admit as there no events for me till the end of Jan 2017 it sometimes becomes a struggle to get up in the morning.

My schedule simply don't allow for that. But I don't want it differently - unless I can do the same work from home, even if only some days of the week, which will save me 2 hours or so of sitting on the road every day. But hey, at least it's a beaut of a road in the Winelands...

My hours training are similar to yours. Most weeks 10 to 12 hours, last week was 15 hours. My recovery weeks like after Sowetan was 7 hours. While you are doing more cycling I am doing more swimming and running around the same.

I am in bed by 8 every night but up at 4 AM to do some sort of training.

My wife has no problems with my training schedule per se as I the majority of training is done while the family is sleeping and only my long cycle or if I am doing an event does it get in the family time....however...I end up declining most invitations to socialize as I cannot stay awake late these days...

keeps me out of mischief and its sort of cheaper than hookers and coke so she is happy

Just had a quick Strava peek and I haven't run since soweto marathon... just some squash and waterpolo, and that 94.7 thing.

Crazy how quickly you can fall off the wagon
Will hit the road tomorrow am to loosen the legs - supposed to be running Tough One on Sunday, but first I need to somehow negotiate my wifes twin-sisters wedding in one piece on Sat
